The Harambee Stars bounced back in style on Tuesday, dismantling Seychelles 5–0 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Kasarani Stadium. The victory came just days after their disappointing defeat to Gambia and restored much-needed confidence in Engin Firat’s side.

Kenya set the tone early. In the 7th minute, forward Ryan Ogam opened the scoring with a glancing header from a Duke Abuya cross.Midfielder Collins Sichenje doubled the advantage in the 35th minute, once again from Abuya’s delivery.Just three minutes later, Ogam struck again, slotting home his second of the night to hand Kenya a commanding 3–0 lead.On the stroke of halftime, Ogam was fouled inside the box, and skipper Michael Olunga made no mistake from the spot, extending the lead to 4–0 at the break.

Kenya kept up the pressure after the restart. In the 67th minute, Olunga rose highest to nod in a Rooney Onyango cross, sealing his brace and wrapping up a five-star performance for the hosts.

Ryan Ogam was the star of the evening, scoring twice to continue his prolific run — now at six international goals in 2025.

Michael Olunga also bagged a brace, inching closer to Kenya’s all-time scoring record.

Collins Sichenje impressed in midfield and added his name to the scoresheet, further underlining Kenya’s dominance.
