Harambee Stars head coach Benedict Saul McCarthy has unveiled his starting eleven to face Madagascar in the quarterfinals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Goalkeeper Bryne Omondi of Bandari FC starts between the posts, shielded by a defensive line of Abud Omar (Kenya Police), Mike Evans Kibwage (Tusker), Alphonce Omija (Gor Mahia), and Alphas Chris Onyango (Gor Mahia).
Midfield responsibilities will be shared by Bonface Muchiri (Ulinzi), Lewis Bandi (AFC Leopards), and Ryan Ogam (Tusker).
In attack, Kenya fields Manzur Suleiman (Gor Mahia), Stanley Okumbi Omondi (Gor Mahia), and forward Marvin Omondi (KCB).
The bench includes experienced names such as goalkeeper Shikalo Faruk (Bandari), striker Austin Odhiambo.
Madagascar, coached by Romuald Felix Rakotondrabe, has named Randimbisoa Lalaina Njaka of Elgeco Plus as captain. He will be supported by defenders Ranjanina Nicolas, Heriniaina Toky Randriamampionona, and Rantelina Elysee Randriamampisoa.
Their attack will be spearheaded by Fenohasina Gilles Razafimaro (Ajesaia) and Randroandria Andria Randriamarana (Fosa Juniors).
For Kenya, this match carries added significance as they play in front of a home crowd, hoping to extend their fairy-tale run.
