Chegg is a well-known online learning platform that offers services such as textbook rentals, study help, and writing tools. While many students find these services helpful, there may come a time when you no longer need your Chegg subscription or wish to take a break. Cancelling your subscription properly ensures that you are not charged again in the next billing cycle. Here is how to cancel Chegg subscription.
When you cancel your Chegg subscription, your access to Chegg services will continue until the end of your current billing period. After that, the subscription will automatically stop, and you will not be billed again. Cancelling does not delete your account, so you can always reactivate your subscription later if you decide to use Chegg again.
Go to the official Chegg website at www.chegg.com and log in using your registered email address and password. You can also cancel through the Chegg mobile app if you subscribed there. Make sure to use the same account that was used for the subscription.
Once logged in, click on your profile icon located at the top-right corner of the page. From the drop-down menu, select My Account or Account Settings. This section contains your personal details, payment information, and subscription details.
In your account settings, locate the Subscriptions or Orders section. Here, you will see a list of all your active Chegg subscriptions, such as Chegg Study, Chegg Writing, or Chegg Math Solver. Choose the subscription you wish to cancel.
Click on Cancel Subscription or End Membership next to the plan you no longer want. Chegg may ask for a reason for cancellation or offer you the option to pause your subscription instead. Confirm your decision by clicking Cancel. Once done, you will see a message confirming that your subscription has been successfully cancelled.
If you subscribed to Chegg through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must cancel through your phone settings. Go to Subscriptions in your account, select Chegg, and tap Cancel Subscription. This will stop future payments through your mobile billing account.
After cancelling, check your email for a confirmation message from Chegg. You can also log back into your account and confirm that your subscription shows an expiration date instead of a renewal date.
