The Kenya Football Fans Federation (KEFOFA) has lauded its patron, former Vice President H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, for his unwavering support of football fans during the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) Tournament, themed PAMOJA.

Kalonzo, a well-known supporter of Kenyan sports, stepped in to ensure that fans could turn up in large numbers to back the Harambee Stars.ย 

His contributions have included the purchase of Silver Tickets for matches, providing branded jerseys for 500 KEFOFA members, and organising transport to the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.

Benni McCarthy has reflected on the tactical decisions that helped Harambee Stars edge Morocco’s Atlas Lions.

The sponsorship has allowed supporters from across the country to unite behind the national team as they chase CHAN glory.

โ€œFootball is more than a gameโ€”itโ€™s a movement that brings people together,โ€ said KEFOFA chairperson Francis Liboyi. โ€œWe are proud to stand with our Patron, H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka, in championing the voice and presence of Kenyan fans.โ€

With the Harambee Stars advancing in the tournament, KEFOFA says it will continue mobilising supporters for the upcoming clash against Zambia, as well as the quarter-finals and finals.

The CHAN tournament has been a unifying force, bringing together nations across Africa in a celebration of talent, culture, and the shared love of the game.

Meanwhile, Liboyi called for increased fan registration with the federation to bolster their organisational capacity and improve future planning,especially considering fans could have a chance to enjoy more privileges at the ongoing championships.
