The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has officially announced its nationwide recruitment exercise scheduled for October 2025, offering opportunities across several categories: General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets, Specialist Officers, General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen/women, and Defence Forces Constables.

General Duty Recruits & Defence Forces Constables: Report in person at designated recruitment centers across the country.

Important: The KDF recruitment exercise is free of charge. Bribery, corruption, or canvassing is strictly prohibited and offenders will be prosecuted.

GSO Cadets (Regular): KCSE mean grade B (Plain), with at least a C+ (Plus)in English, Mathematics, and one science.

GSO Cadets (Graduate): Same KCSE requirements as above, plus a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Specialist Officers: KCSE mean grade B (Plain), Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and registration with the respective regulatory body.

General Duty Recruits: KCSE mean grade D (Plain).

Defence Forces Constables: For retired service members only.
