The Economists Society of Kenya (ESK) is set to hold its Annual National Conference, which takes place between September 28 and October 3, 2025, in Diani, Kwale County. The conference’s theme is “The Kenya We Want: Achieving Sustainable Development for Inclusive Prosperity.

ESK is a professional body that aims to advance economists’ role in planning, budgeting, policy development, research and analysis.”

This annual forum is the largest gathering of economists in Africa. It provides a platform for economic experts to listen and discuss the latest research guiding economic policy, peer experiences, the impact of the work of ESK’s members in governments, businesses, academia, think tanks and diaspora.

The conference is a premier platform for institutions seeking to engage with and shape economic thought in advancing Kenya’s development agenda.

“It brings together all key drivers of economic policy within Kenya’s body politic as well as across the wider East African Community (EAC), under a single umbrella. It is an opportunity of immense significance that should not be overlooked,” said Dr Dunstone Ulwodi, ESK Chairman.
