Kenyan rapper King Kaka has for the first time spoken openly about life after his separation from longtime partner Nana Owiti, shedding light on how they are handling co-parenting.

In December 2024, King Kaka and Nana Owiti announced their separation after 13 years of marriage, releasing a joint statement on social media. The statement emphasized their commitment to raising their three children together with โ€œlove and respectโ€ while requesting privacy during the transition.

Speaking in a candid YouTube conversation with Nairobi Senator Karen Nyamu on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, King Kaka said the two have managed to maintain peace despite the split.

โ€œAhh machungu, tulishamaliza. Tunacoparent vizuri, hata this weekend niko na watoto. Looking forward. Machungu sisi tulishamaliza. Tuko easy,โ€ he said.

He stressed that their focus is on ensuring their childrenโ€™s well-being while navigating their new lives separately.

When asked if Nana Owiti has moved on, King Kaka responded diplomatically:

โ€œHizo sasa ndio haulizi. Ako na maisha yake na mimi niko na yangu, so sijui. Vile yeye pia hajui yangu.โ€
