In a statement on September 18, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) announced the accelerated issuance of academic transcripts, dispatching 13,000 documents to respective campuses to boost graduate job prospects.
This was done to help graduates who completed their final qualifying examinations in JuneโJuly 2025 secure employment opportunities both locally and abroad.
โYou asked us, and we listened. Now see the results! KMTC ramps up transcript issuance to boost graduate job prospects,โ read part of the Kenya Medical Training College statement.
The college has invested in digital systems and decentralized services to meet the growing demand for timely academic records.
KMTC Chief Executive Officer Dr Kelly Oluoch said the reforms were implemented to ensure graduates do not miss job opportunities because of delayed paperwork.
โOur reforms are designed to ensure graduates do not miss opportunities,โ Dr. Oluoch stated.
โWith automation, students can now verify transcripts online, and with decentralization, they can collect documents at their campuses three weeks after completing exams,โ he added.
The collegeโs automation of academic records means transcripts can be processed within one day once requirements are met, and always within the 10-day timeline set out in the Citizensโ Service Delivery Charter.
โThese measures ensure our graduates remain competitive in the job market,โ Oluoch remarked.
KMTC has also scaled up its Transcript Mashinani program, which takes services closer to graduates during national events, allowing transcripts to be issued on the spot.
This initiative responds to the rising number of verification requests from recruitment agencies worldwide.
By offering on-the-spot transcript issuance during public functions and career fairs, the college ensures that even graduates in remote regions can access their academic documents without unnecessary delays.
Thousands of verification and authentication requests continue to reach the Kenya Medical Training College each year, showing the value of its qualifications internationally.
Recruitment agencies and health institutions abroad regularly request document checks to confirm the authenticity of KMTC graduatesโ credentials.
The swift issuance of transcripts is expected to give graduates a critical edge as they pursue employment opportunities abroad.
Through digitization, decentralized service delivery, and rapid processing, Kenya Medical Training College aims to position its graduates for success in a global healthcare workforce that requires timely proof of credentials.
The combined reforms of automation, campus-level collection, and outreach through Transcript Mashinani are now enabling graduates to access their academic records within the shortest time possible, strengthening their chances of employment both in Kenya and overseas.
