Nakuru County, Kenya – Police in Mwariki, Nakuru County, are investigating the brutal murder of a man whose decomposed body was discovered inside his rented house in Kwa Senior estate.

The incident was reported on Sunday, August 10, 2025, when officers found the body lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The house door had been left open, and the body showed signs of severe trauma, with blood oozing from multiple openings and visibly swollen private parts.

Neighbours told police the deceased, believed to be an employee of a local matatu sacco, was last seen on August 7 at his home doing laundry. He lived alone.

Investigators did not recover any identification documents from the house or the body. However, they seized three mobile phones found at the scene to aid in the investigation.

The body has been moved to Nakuru Annex Funeral Home for preservation and autopsy. Police say they are pursuing promising leads to uncover the motive and identify suspects.
