A man in Chinga, Nyeri County is nursing serious burns after he was attacked with hot porridge during a domestic dispute with a woman.

According to witnesses, an argument between the two escalated into violence when the woman allegedly poured boiling porridge on the man, leaving him with severe burns.

Police confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the disagreement and to determine whether charges will be pressed.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is receiving treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
