Chelsea have suffered a setback as one of their new recruits will not be available for up to three months due to injury.
English striker Liam Delap has sustained a hamstring injury and will be out of action for two to three months, Chelsea FC coach Enzo Maresca confirmed on Friday.
Delap joined Chelsea this summer from Ipswich and has featured in all three of The Blues’ matches this season, but in the most recent encounter against Fulham (2-0), he was forced off the pitch prematurely in the 14th minute.

“I think Liam will be out for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. He still has a long road ahead,” the Italian coach was quoted as saying by DPA. Chelsea is also currently without attacking midfielder Cole Palmer, who is struggling with groin issues.
Meanwhile, Maresca also confirmed that new signing Alejandro Garnacho is still not ready to play after his transfer from Manchester United.
