Nakuru UDA’s Nominated MCA Hassan Duale has tabled a notice of motion at the County Assembly of Nakuru seeking to protect content creators.

Duale tabled the notice of motion during the third Assembly House Proceedings on Wednesday morning September 17, 2025.

The youthful MCA is urging protection of content creators in Nakuru County.

“‎It is regrettable that these talented and hardworking young people continue to face harassment from county askaris, some of whom go as far as demanding bribes,” he stated.

‎Such actions he added that not only discourage innovation but also undermine the growth of creative economy. ‎ MCA Duale urged leaders to ensure they provide an enabling environment where youth can freely express their creativity, build sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to the social and economic progress of our county.

“I remain committed to safeguarding their interests and pushing for policies that protect and empower them. The future of Nakuru is bright, and it is anchored in the ingenuity and creativity of our young people. My commitment is clear. I will always stand with them and defend their right to earn a decent living through honest and innovative work,” he stated.

The motion seeks to: 1. End harassment and intimidation by County Enforcement Officers. 2. Stop demands for bribes from content creators. 3. Safeguard the youth’s right to earn a living with dignity through content creation.

It should be noted matters youth have been at the heart of MCA Duale.

Besides the motion, the MCA has been vocal on matters that touch on youth.

He initiated the Youth Bunge to ensure young people familiarize with the Assembly matters that will also prompt them to participate fully in political matters.
