Content creator Mitchelle, widely known as Mjaka Mfine, has finally addressed the speculation surrounding Lang’ata MP Jalang’o’s involvement in her pursuit of a stolen iPhone.

The controversy began after Mitchelle lost her iPhone at a campus event. Her suspicion fell on a young man named Cedo after she saw him selling an identical model the very next day at an unusually low price. Mitchelle reported the matter, demanding Cedo produce the phone for the police.

The situation gained public attention when Jalang’o personally called Cedo, accusing him of the theft. This prompted Cedo’s mother, the phone’s actual owner, to intervene and publicly question the link between the content creator and the Member of Parliament.

When asked by netizens, “How did Jalang’o get into this mix?” Mitchelle laughed, acknowledging that his involvement drew widespread attention. She explained that after police told her they could not trace her phone, she began reaching out to several “prominent people” and DCI officers for assistance.

“I called several people whom I thought might have links to help me,” she explained. However, some did not answer, and others declined to help.

Mitchelle confirmed that she only reached out to the MP as a last resort, assuming he might have the necessary connections.

“That is when I decided to seek help from Jalang’o, assuming that he maybe had connections,” she said. “I sent him the guy’s number and we contacted him—the three of us were on the call.”

Mitchelle strongly denied claims that they threatened the man, stating she has recordings of the phone call and the text messages detailing her conversation with Cedo. She also confirmed she still has ongoing conversations with Jalang’o, clarifying his role was purely one of using his influence to assist her with what seemed like a dead-end police case.
