The West Kabras ward electorate is expected to host the Presidentโs aide, Farouk Kibet, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at Bulupi Primary School grounds, where they will be gracing an empowerment drive in the area.
The duoโs visit comes at a time when the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has declared November 27, 2025, as the election date. The function is expected to set the political stage for those seeking to replace the late Malava Member of Parliament on the United Democratic Alliance party ticket to present their manifestos.
Five candidates โ namely Simon Kangwana, Enock Andanje, Leonard Shimaka, Rhyan Injendi (son of the late MP), and West Kabras Member of County Assembly David Ndakwa, who will be the host of tomorrowโs event โ are set to battle it out in the party nominations.
All indicators show that the party enjoys massive support in the area, and whoever secures the ticket will have an upper hand in becoming the next leader.
Kibet has held several empowerment programmes in the area across six of the seven wards, with West Kabras set to mark his seventh visit as several groups benefit.
He has now established his own niche with the people of Malava, and his influence may dictate the direction the electorate takes at the ballot.
