Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has called on women in Malava Constituency to exercise their voting rights responsibly in the upcoming by-election.

Mudavadi made the appeal during an engagement with over 100 women professionals from Malava who visited him in Nairobi.

โ€œHistory has shown that no struggle can truly succeed without the active participation of women, working hand in hand with men, in shaping the future of their communities and nation,โ€ he stated.

The meeting also focused on transformative women empowerment initiatives aimed at boosting livelihoods through agricultural diversification, strengthening Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Chamas, Women SACCOs, and other sustainable economic ventures.

โ€œWe discussed ways to uplift women economically and socially, ensuring they have the tools to succeed in various sectors,โ€ Mudavadi said.

This comes as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that all pending by-elections across the country will be conducted on November 27, 2025.

The Malava parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of the sitting MP Malulu Injendi.
