Former NACADA boss John Mututho has weighed in on a viral video of a local chief from Nyanza explaining effects of illicit brew.

In the video, the local administrator who was speaking during a security meeting highlighted the effects of illicit brew citing menace tat it has caused.

The Chief points out that 60 percent of liquor being consumed in the country is illicit brew due to the chemicals involved

He goes further to explain that the initial distillation process of changโ€™aa was good as it had no chemicals hence it was categorized as local brew just as busaa.

According to the local administrator, there is just need to go back to distillation in production of changโ€™aa abd be regulated.

Taking to social media on Saturday morning, Mututho lauded the Chief for speaking the truth.

The former NACADA boss who now runs a rehabilitation center in Nakuruโ€™s Pipeline, was categorical that pure Busaa and subsequent distillation done meticulously as was in Nyanza and parts of former Rift valley Province present day narcotics and lethal ingredients if further double distilled packaged and flavored with organic safe food grade additives eg vanilla , would be a much SUPERIOR ALCOHOLIC DRINK than present day very TOXIC industrial ALCOHOLS.

He added that the present day very toxic industrial alcohols marketed under the suspiciously enacted KEBS portable spirit standard.

According to Mututho, second generation alcohol is a menace that should be addressed.

โ€œI support this intelligent Chief,โ€ stated Mututho.
