Isiolo: Mwenda Thuranira has dismissed a series of fake campaign posters circulating on social media that link him with Governor Abdi Guyo.

Thuranira, who already declared his intention to vie for Isiolo North MP seat in the 2027 General Election, described the posters as false, malicious and aimed at misleading residents.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the businessman-turned-politician assured his supporters that his loyalty has never been to individuals, tribes or political cliques, but to the people of Isiolo.

He said the propaganda is an attempt by his rivals to sow confusion among voters and derail the growing movement demanding change in the county.
Thuranira added that Isiolo residents have suffered for years under failed leadership that prioritised personal gain over public service.
He promised that his political journey is rooted in restoring dignity, justice and accountability in the county.

Thuranira has been vocal about his 2027 parliamentary bid and has positioned himself as a reformist keen on tackling corruption, poor governance and mismanagement of county resources.
His latest remarks come amid heightened political activity in Isiolo, where succession politics are already shaping the local discourse three years before the election.
He urged residents to remain united and not to be swayed by propaganda, assuring them that the journey to liberate Isiolo from โbad governanceโ is unstoppable.

.ke previously reported that a Mizani Africa opinion poll placed Thuranira as the frontrunner in the Isiolo North parliamentary race.
The survey showed Thuranira commanding 61.3 percent support, well ahead of incumbent MP Joseph Lomwa, who polled at 22.9 percent. Other aspirants included Hassan Odha with 9.1 percent and Jamhuri Guyo with 5.3 percent, while 1.4 percent of respondents remained undecided.
