Nominated ODM Senator Beth Syengo was heckled at a burial in Mwingi North after she campaigned for President William Ruto’s re-election in 2027 and endorsed the broad-based government.
According to a video shared by Mwingi News Online, the event was proceeding smoothly until the Senator shifted to politics.
“If God has decided President William Ruto will get a second term in office, he must get it,” she said, prompting loud heckling from sections of the crowd.
Undeterred, Syengo responded: “Shouting and heckling won’t change anything. I’ll allow you to finish heckling so that I can also complete my speech.”
She further announced that she and the Kenya Kwanza team would return for another empowerment fundraiser targeting boda boda riders, warning that if Ngomeni residents were not interested, the motorbikes would be allocated elsewhere.
