Noah Lyles’ brother Josephus has added a new chapter to the familyโs story of triumphsโthis time away from the track.
The 26-year-old American sprinter recently announced his engagement to Anglerne Annelus, a former USC Trojans standout, setting the stage for a double celebration in the Lyles household.
Josephus proposed in romantic fashion, popping the question on a beach in front of a giant heart made of roses.

The athlete shared photos of the moment with his followers on social media, captioning them with the heartfelt words, “You, me, foreverโฆ”.
The announcement comes just as his older brother, Noah Lyles, prepares for another major milestoneโthe 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The engagement has added an extra dose of excitement to the Lyles family calendar.
Josephus, who turned professional alongside Noah in 2016 after signing an eight-year Adidas contract, has steadily built his own sprinting career.
He is a former World Youth Championships medalist and captured bronze in the 200m at the 2022 NACAC Championships, setting a personal best of 19.93 seconds.
โI mean I feel that every race I get better knowing that I am coming into kind of a condensed season has been a little hectic but I’m pretty excited,โ Noah said while reflecting on his own upcoming challenges.
Annelus, 28, brings her own impressive rรฉsumรฉ to the engagement.
She is a two-time NCAA 200m champion (2018, 2019) and represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, where she placed fourth in the 200m final.
Competing for USC from 2018 to 2020, she established herself as one of the leading collegiate sprinters of her generation.
Together, Josephus and Anglerne form a formidable pairing in the track and field world.
Both have overcome their share of setbacks on the way to their careers, and now, they look set to sprint together into their future beyond the track.

The reigning 100m and 200m champion has been candid about his preparation and how the structure of the competition plays to his strengths.
“I’m finally ready to do rounds and I’m really tired of doing one-off races. My bread and butter is rounds, so I know that once I am able to get like heats, semis and finals under my belt, it’s going to get like repetitive really quick,” he explained.
Noah and Josephus made history together when they skipped college athletics to turn professional straight out of high school, becoming the first male sprinters to do so.
Now, nearly a decade later, the brothers continue to share the spotlight in different waysโone on the track chasing world titles, and the other beginning a new life chapter with his fiancรฉe.
