Nyashinski has announced that his second album, Yariasu, will drop on September 19th.
P.I.C (Partner in Crime), the second single from the upcoming album, was released on Friday to launch pre-orders for Yariasu.
The song opens with a bold statement, “I always knew East Africa would be on top of the world,” reflecting his ambition to take regional music global.
Yariasu will be Nyashinski’s second album, following his album, Lucky You, released in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lucky You, which featured no guest artists, became popular for its messages of hope and resilience during the global crisis.
“My fans have been patiently waiting for new music and with this album I wanted to give them more than just songs. I wanted to give them a vision,” Nyashinski said. “P.I.C is a celebration of love and unity, but it’s also a statement that East African music belongs on the world stage. Yariasu is me doubling down on that mission.”
The release has garnered backing from Sony Music Eastern Africa, with Head Christine ‘Seven’ Mosha.
“Nyashinski is an artist who represents the very best of East African music, authentic, innovative and globally resonant,” she said. “With Yariasu, he builds on the foundation laid by Lucky You and positions himself as a cultural ambassador for the region. This release is not just about an album, it’s about putting East Africa firmly in the global music conversation.”
Fans can pre-order Yariasu while streaming the new single across digital platforms.
