Malava MP hopeful Seth Panyako iss et to lead his DAP-K party in a series of public rallies in the constituency in a bid to marshal support for his bid.
The rallies are planned to take place over the weekend with stopovers in Manda, Kimangโeti, Bukhakunga and Samitsi.
The trade unionist who came second in the last elections for the same position with 20,133 votes against the late MP Malulu Injendiโs 22,891 is expected to be accompanied by party leader Eugene Wamalwa and his deputy leader Ayub Savula, who also doubles as the Kakamega County Deputy Governor.
Also expected are Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.
Panyako is working tirelessly to popularize his candidature ahead of the November 27 mini-poll.
Panyako will be facing rivals for the same seat including government sponsored candidate who will be picked among five candidates including Simon Kangwana, Enock Andanje, Leonard Shimaka, Rhyan Injendi and MCA David Ndakwa.
Others in the race are Edgar Busiega (DCP), Samuel Tsimbwela, Caleb Sunguti (Roots Party) and Wilberforce Tuvei.
