This week began with activities ranging from political to social events.
The week saw President William Ruto attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) General Debate at the UN headquarters in New York.
During the summit, the President held sideline meetings with Global and African leaders.
This is even as former President Uhuru Kenyatta chaired the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference (NDC).
As this happened,ย a group of elderly women staged protests claiming there have been prolonged delays and a missing court file in a long-running land dispute in Nairobiโs South C area.
The group of elderly women gathered outside the court precincts, shouting and chanting in frustration.

Jubilee NDCย
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday chaired the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference (NDC) held at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse.
Uhuru was received by his Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiangโi, who exchanged a warm handshake with him before the two greeted other officials and delegates.
Also present to welcome the former head of state were Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and senior party leaders.ย

Elderly women protests
The women who could be seen with visible anguish, many with hands raised in gestures of anger and despair, called on Chief Justice Martha Koome to intervene.
Some were personally heard chanting โKoome kuja hapa uvuruge hapaโ while others appealed to President William Ruto to step in.








The long-awaited Nairobi concert by legendary smooth-jazz saxophonist Kenny G went down at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on September 27.
