Zachariah Kariuki, fondly known as Mr KK Mwenyewe had been unwell for about two days before he passed on.

According to his friends, Mr KK had a growth in the throat that had prevented him from swallowing any hard food as his mother made frantic efforts to save him.

Below is a write-up on what transpired between July 13-14, 2025 before Mr KK was pronounced dead at Thika Level 5 hospital.

Hello guys, after I heard about the incident, I called my friends who were also in shock but MC Okullu, Ngano comedian and Richard Victor accompanied men mpaka mahali KK anaishi.

We arrived late and we didn’t set eyes on his body…so tulienda tukampata mum woke up and explained to us everything and the condition KK was.

The mum explained to us that Mr KK Mwenyewe was not feeling well from Sunday. He had a growth in his throat from Sunday that made it hard for him to swallow any food but we kept trying to eat.

The mum visited him on Sunday to ensure that he is well and eating but SHA was not working so she went back to look for money to pay for SHA so that he can get proper medication.

On Monday (July 14) morning, KK was well but by 4pm KK started getting worse and his mother was called.

By that time his body had turned yellow, from eyes to finder nails and was trembling he was rushed to Afia medical centre in Kirigiti but was referred to Kiambu Level 5 hospital where he passed on
