Deputy President William Ruto and his arc-rival, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi have put their differences aside to work together in drumming up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of next monthโ€™s polls.

The two have been at loggerheads in recent times over President Uhuru Kenyattaโ€™s succession in the 2022 general elections, with both declaring interests in the countryโ€™s top seat when Uhuru retires.

For the first time in a long while, the Deputy President and the KANU leader were seen together on Sunday in Baringo County, chatting and sharing jokes during a campaign trail in the county.ย

Moi has been threatening to ditch Jubilee and withdraw support for President Uhuru Kenyatta, demanding respect from Deputy President William Ruto, as supremacy over who is the Kalenjin Kingpin gathers pace ahead of the 2022 general elections.

The two accompanied the President in a church service at the African Inland Church in Kabartonjo, Baringo County and were seen laughing from their conversation.

Senator Gideon Moi has often accused the Deputy President of sponsoring Jubileeโ€™s Simon Chelugui against him in the Baringo Senate contest, with an aim of throwing his 2022 presidential bid into disarray by keeping him out of politics in the next five years.
