Harambee Stars players will pocket Ksh 2.5 million each if they beat Zambia in Kenya’s final match of Group A in the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN)

President William Ruto on Monday, August 11, raised the bonus from Ksh1 million after meeting the squad and technical bench in Upper Hill. It was agreed that victory over Zambia would secure each player the higher payout.

The package also includes Ksh1 million and a two-bedroom affordable housing unit in a location of their choice for every player if the team advances from the quarter-finals, as part of the CHAN 2024 incentives.

“Unity has always propelled us forward. We must never allow negativity, failure, or doubt to prevent us from reaching our full potential. If we believe in ourselves and refuse to let division or hate enter the equation, Kenya can become the great nation we all dream of,” he announced on his social media pages.

“The Harambee Stars are proof of what unity can achieve. They have brought the country together, and we are all witnessing the success it is bringing to the nation. We stand behind you, praying that this time we win will CHAN because itโ€™s within close reach.”
