The dream is alive for the Safaricom Chapa Dimba All-Stars as they kicked off their week-long Spanish tour with world-class football training and a taste of international competition at SD Huescaโ€™s Academy.

On Monday, the young Kenyan stars were welcomed with an orientation of the clubโ€™s modern training facilities before diving straight into elite masterclasses and tactical sessions.

Led by SD Huescaโ€™s top coaches, the All-Stars sharpened their skills through intensive drills in ball control, fitness, tactical positioning, and mental strength to shape their football journeys far beyond Spain.

Coach Juan Ramon Fung, who trained the girlsโ€™ team, was quick to spot their potential indicating the fantastic training session they had in the morning with the girlsโ€™ team.

โ€œMy focus was on teaching them how to play faster, keeping the ball moving and ensuring that every player adjusts their movement accordingly,โ€ said Fung.

He added: โ€œThey are already grasping the concept, some read the game very quickly, and I believe they have what it takes to grow into top-level players.โ€

In the evening, the Chapa Dimba All-Star girls stepped onto the pitch for a friendly against SD Huescaโ€™s U13 boysโ€™ team, battling to an exciting 2-2 draw in a match that tested their speed, tactical awareness, and teamwork against a professional academy setup.

For striker Martha Nafula, the SD Huesca experience has already been transformational to her after they faced the U13 boysโ€™ team and underwent a training session and a match.

โ€œAs a striker, you have to be sharp inside the box, making quick decisions and finishing without hesitation,โ€ Nafula said.

She added: โ€œThe style of training here is different and itโ€™s pushing me to improve my game.โ€

The All Star players also enjoyed a cultural tour of the historic Casco Histรณrico de Huesca, giving them a glimpse of Spanish heritage alongside their football lessons.

The journey continued on Tuesday with more masterclass sessions before the boysโ€™ side take on SD Huescaโ€™s U23s in another thrilling friendly match.

The Spanish tour is part of Safaricom Chapa Dimba Season 4, a grassroots football program in Kenya providing exposure, nurturing raw talent, and opening pathways to professional football.

For the All-Stars, the Spain trip is a chance to fly the Kenyan flag high, learn from Europeโ€™s best, and bring back lessons that will inspire thousands of young footballers back home.
