Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 FE in Kenya, and the company is framing the device as its most accessible entry point of its flagship S25 series. The S25 FEย brings much of Samsungโs flagship DNA, including its AI-powered tools and design language, but at a lower price point.
The Galaxy S25 FE comes running on One UI 8 and Android 16 together with Galaxy AI features such as multimodal interactions with Samsungโs AI companion and tools like Generative Edit and Instant Slow-mo. You get a 12MP selfie camera now with Samsungโs ProVisual Engine, which sharpens details and improves dynamic range.
The S25 FE is powered by a 4900mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and can be topped up to 65% in 30 minutes. It also has a large vapor chamber up to 10% bigger than the S24 FE and helps regulate thermals during intense workloads or gaming.
The phone also comes with support for Qi2 wireless charging at 15W, though without magnetic connectors.
Samsungโs Exynos 2400 processor is under the phoneโs hood and is a refined version of the chipset used in last yearโs S24 series. And while itโs not as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Elite found in the S25 and the S25 Plus, it is tuned for stable day-to-day performance and optimized AI tasks.
Located at the back, the S25 FE has a triple lens setup comprised of a 50MPย main shooter, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom.
While these features mirror the S24 FE, image processing has greatly improved through the updated ProVisual Engine, and users should expect warmer tones and stronger contrast compared to the flagship S25 series, which leans toward a more natural tone.
โGalaxy S25 FE plays a key role in expanding access to Galaxy AI and flagship features, bringing these innovations to more users in Kenya,โ said Evelyn Munene, Head of Product and Marketing at Samsung Electronics East Africa.
The device is available nationwide at Samsung-authorized dealers in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, starting at a recommended retail price of KES 99,999. Kenyan buyers can choose from four colors: Icy Blue, Jet Black, Navy, and White.
In some international markets, Samsung is bundling six months of the Google AI Pro plan, unlocking premium features in Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM. However, Kenya is not confirmed to be part of this promotion. Local buyers will still have full access to standard Gemini features as part of the Galaxy AI suite.
The Galaxy S25 FE Kenya launch highlights Samsungโs intent to make its AI-first strategy more accessible. The device delivers a balance of flagship-level AI features, a larger battery, faster charging, and a refined design at a price point meant to broaden access to Samsungโs ecosystem. While it doesnโt pack the raw performance of the S25 or S25 Plus, it provides Kenyan users with a capable device that offers the essentials of Samsungโs Galaxy AI in a more affordable package.
