The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions across several counties on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The maintenance exercise is expected to enhance reliability and improve the quality of electricity supply to customers.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Kipkabus Road, part of Ngara, Museum, Westlands Road, part of Kipande Road, KU School of Law, Chemilil Road, Musembi Road, Qwetu, and adjacent customers.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Kapsorok Concrete, Kapsorok Market, Kamalel Market, and adjacent customers.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Marige, Komothai Boys, Komothai Girls, Kigumo, Gathugu, Gitombo, Gathiruini, Githioro, Mount Moriah, Kibichoi Shops, and adjacent customers.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Ndithini Children’s Home, Kaguku, Busyani, Ndithini Mission Hospital, Kiatineni Nduvuini Primary, Tana Ranch Primary, Tana Ranch, and adjacent customers.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Sagana State Lodge, Kiganjo Fisheries, Karandi Market, Iruri Market, Iruri Dispensary, Iruri Village, Iganjo Village, Mutaga Village, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters, and adjacent customers.

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Affected areas: Gimpine Primary, Thaari, part of Kianjai, Uuru, Miathene, Kirukire, Kathiiri, Karimba Primary School, Miathene KMTC, Kanjalu Girls, Ithamare, Mwithu C/Fact, Giunku, Kiandiu, Kitheo, and adjacent customers.

KPLC advises all customers in the affected regions to make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience during the outage period. Normal power supply is expected to resume immediately after the maintenance work is completed.
