African Nations Championship co-hosts Tanzania, finished their Group B matches unbeaten despite being held to a barren draw by the Central African Republic, in their last match on Saturday at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The draw saw Tanzania topping the group on 10 points from four matches, and they will play their quarter-final match at home.
In another match of the group which was played simultaneously, Madagascar beat Burkina Faso 2-1, at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar City.
Fenohasina Razafimaro and Lalaina Cliver Rafanomezantsoa scored for Madagascar, while Souleymane Sangare pulled one back for Burkinabe.
Last edition bronze medalists Madagascar, finished 2nd on 7 points, the same as Mauritania, but on superior goal difference, and will travel to Nairobi for their quarter-final on the 22nd of this month.
