In Summary
Fallen reggae queen Mary Njambi Koikai, popularly known as Fyah Mummah Jahmby, has had her grave vandalized at the Lang’ata Cemetery.
Through a viral video doing rounds on social media, Fyah Mummah Jahmby’s grave is captured vandalized, with the metal railings and the small gate missing.
Additionally, the vandalism has been conducted on other graves that had metallic decorations. Surprisingly, all this happens opposite a police station, huh?
The vandalism puts on the spot not only scrap metal dealers but also the Nairobi City County Government, which runs the cemetery.
Despite the vandalism, Jahmby’s final resting place stands firm, with the epitaph capturing both her arrival and departure from the world, not to mention a brief farewell message and a Bible verse.
Jahmby passed away on June 4, 2024, after a long battle with thoracic endometriosis.
At the time of her demise, she was 37 years old and had battled the condition since she was 13.

While reacting to the vandalism, netizens affirmed that her spirit remains etched on history books.
