Kenya will be represented by 58 athletes at the 20th World Athletics Championships set to be held at the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan, between the 13th and 21st of this month.

Two athletes will be defending their 2023 titles in this yearโ€™s edition: Faith Kipyegon (1500m and 500m) and Mary Moraa (800m).

Kenya will be competing in the 100m men, 4x100m men, 4x400m men, 4x400m mixed relay, 400m women, 400m hurdles men, 800m men and women, 1500m men and women, 3000m SC men and women, 5000m men and women, 10,000m men and women, marathon men and women and Javelin men and women.

Also in the team are three reigning Olympic champions: Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Beatrice Chebet and Faith Kipyegon.

Irene Jepkemboi will be the 1st Kenyan woman to participate in javelin at the World Championships in this yearโ€™s edition after qualifying through the ranking system.

The 4x100m menโ€™s team also will be making a return to the championships for a 2nd time since making their 1st appearance in 1983.
