The National Sevens Circuit is heading for an exciting end in Kisumu, thanks to a KSh 3 million sponsorship from Tusker. 

This weekend’s Dala Sevens will see a final battle for the championship between KCB RFC and Strathmore Leos. 

KCB is currently in the lead and only needs to make it to the quarter-finals to win the title. 

The support from Tusker, a brand known for backing Kenyan sports, will help make the tournament a great experience for everyone.

The Dala Sevens, hosted by Kisumu RFC, is the culminating event of the National Sevens Circuit. 

The tournament will feature a head-to-head battle between KCB RFC and Strathmore Leos for the overall championship. 

KCB RFC currently leads the standings with 104 points and needs to reach the quarter-finals to secure the title. 

Strathmore Leos, in second place with 95 points, will need to win the Dala leg and hope for a KCB slip-up.

Tusker’s sponsorship highlights the brand’s support for rugby in Kenya. 

Speaking at the announcement, Tusker Brand Sports Manager Keza Mpyisi stated that the partnership celebrates the “incredible talent and passion of Kenyan athletes.” 

Kisumu RFC Chairman Gabriel Ouma expressed gratitude for the sponsorship, noting it will “enhance the quality of the event and provide a great experience for both players and fans.”

The tournament pools have been drawn, setting the stage for the final leg. 

Pool A includes Kabras Sugar, CUEA Monks, MMUST, and Nakuru RFC. 

Pool B features Daystar Falcons, MSC Rugby, Kenya Harlequin, and Nondescripts. 

Pool C is made up of KCB Rugby, Mwamba RFC, Homeboyz RFC, and Embu RFC.

Pool D consists of Strathmore Leos, Menengai Oilers, Impala RFC, and Kisumu RFC.
