The Uganda Cranes are gearing up for a crucial Group C clash against Guinea this evening at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, as they look to reignite their CHAN 2024 campaign and restore hope among their home fans.

After a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Algeria in their opening match, the Cranes are determined to bounce back stronger and keep their dream of progressing beyond the group stages alive—a feat they have never achieved in CHAN history.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, head coach Morley Byekwaso struck a confident tone, urging fans and players alike to stay focused on the bigger picture.

“We’ve moved on from the first game,” Byekwaso said. “Football is about how you respond, and the boys are mentally ready. We’ve corrected our mistakes, and tomorrow, we want to give the fans something to smile about.”
