Nairobi: A video has captured the moment a presidential security officer fell off a speeding car after the Katiba Day celebration.

President William Ruto had declared Wednesday, August 27, the day to commemorate the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution.

Ruto, former prime minister Raila Odinga, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangรบla, and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki were among the high dignitaries who graced the event.

After the event, people who had gathered began leaving the KICC, Nairobi, one at a time. At that moment, a footage captured a presidential security officer dressed in a suit attempting to board a moving SUV.

Unfortunately, he appeared to miss his step and fell to the ground, briefly causing concern about his condition.

Kenyans took to social media to express their concern after the security personnel fell from a moving vehicle.

According to the head of state, the day was meant to be a solemn reflection, a celebration of progress, and a renewal of the steadfast commitment to the country’s constitution.

The head of state mentioned that the 2010 Constitution not only delivered devolution but also safeguarded fundamental rights, advanced education, healthcare, housing, and strengthened the institutions that protect justice and democracy.

He further affirmed his commitment to upholding and protecting the Constitution. Ruto also called all the arms of the government, including the executive, judiciary and the legislature, to defend it.
